Midnight Oil
Up to the Witching Hour
‘Burning the midnight oil' is commonly used in English to say that one has spent a very late night with literature and scientific texts. Youngsters between 8 and 19 years of age can work on their texts in Riegersburg during the literature workshop of regionale08 up to the witching hour (and beyond).
The participants in ‘Midnight Oil' are supported by international tutors who have extensive experience with writer's block and gaps in fantasy. The Styrian winners of a literature competition are invited to this literature competition; the international workshop week of the Literatur-Werkstatt Graz (Literature Workshop Graz) has seen itself as a European gathering for the last 15 years: Also during this year, the writing laboratory is open to children and adolescents from all over Europe. The results of the workshop week are presented during a final reading. The texts of the competition and the prose created at the workshop will be later presented in the form of a ‘First Print' volume - presentation during regionale08.
